Memorial

Sadaqa jariya that outlives you

What it is

The Memorial is a worldwide circle of prayer for people who have passed away. You add loved ones who have died — or yourself, for after you pass — into a shared pool, and believers around the world are quietly assigned to pray a set of authentic duas for them.

Why it matters

Supplication for the deceased is a form of sadaqah jariyah — ongoing charity that continues to benefit them long after their deeds have ended. Mercy flows to the departed, and the one who prays is rewarded too, for an angel says "and for you the same."

How it works

  1. 1Add a person who has passed away — their name and a few details enter the global pool, starting with a number of dua sessions.
  2. 2Another believer, somewhere in the world, is assigned that person — one at a time. A 24-hour lock means no two people are praying for the same person at once.
  3. 3The assigned believer recites a set of authentic supplications by name, asking Allah for mercy, forgiveness, and a spacious resting place.
  4. 4When the session is complete it is recorded: the person's prayer count rises, and the one who prayed earns reward — spendable points to gift more duas, and afterlife points stored for themselves.
  5. 5You can also add yourself to the pool, so that after you pass away, strangers across the Ummah will pray for you — charity that outlives you.
