Al-Mutakabbir
The Supreme
Meaning
Al-Mutakabbir is the One who is supremely great, above all creation in majesty and grandeur. He alone has the right to greatness and pride — for only He truly possesses absolute perfection. While pride (kibr) is condemned in humans because it is a false claim, in Allah it is a truthful attribute — He truly is above all else. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said Allah declares: "Greatness is My cloak and majesty is My garment; whoever competes with Me in either, I shall cast into the Fire." This name humbles us, reminding us that all human greatness is borrowed and temporary.
In the Quran
Surah Al-Hashr (59:23): "He is Allah... the Compeller, the Superior (Al-Mutakabbir). Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him."
Daily Reflection
Where does pride creep into your life? Remember that true greatness belongs only to Al-Mutakabbir. Our role is humility before His supreme majesty.
Today's Action
Practice humility today. Serve someone you consider beneath you, or acknowledge someone else's achievement without jealousy. Let go of one point of pride.

سبحان الله والحمد لله ولا إله إلا الله والله أكبر
Glorify His supreme greatness 100 times.
Dua
اللهم يا متكبر طهر قلبي من الكبر وارزقني التواضع
O Allah, the Supreme, purify my heart from arrogance and grant me humility.
