الوهاب

Al-Wahhab

The Bestower

Meaning

Al-Wahhab is the One who gives freely, generously, and without any expectation of return. His gifts are not earned — they are pure grace. The form "Wahhab" indicates someone who gives constantly and abundantly. Every blessing in your life is a gift from Al-Wahhab: your health, your family, your faith, the air you breathe. Unlike human givers who may expect gratitude or reciprocity, Al-Wahhab gives purely out of His generosity. He gives to the deserving and the undeserving, the grateful and the ungrateful. When you feel unworthy of blessings, remember that Al-Wahhab's gifts are not based on your merit but on His infinite generosity.

In the Quran

Surah Aal-Imran (3:8): "Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower."

Daily Reflection

What gifts have you received from Al-Wahhab that you did nothing to earn? Your eyesight, your intellect, your family — none were purchased. How do you show gratitude?

Today's Action

Give a gift today with no expectation of return. Be generous to someone who cannot repay you. Reflect Al-Wahhab's quality of selfless giving.

Dhikr

يا وهاب (Ya Wahhab)

Say it 100 times, asking Allah to bestow His blessings upon you.

Dua

اللهم يا وهاب هب لنا من لدنك رحمة إنك أنت الوهاب

O Allah, the Bestower, grant us mercy from Yourself. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
