المجيب

Al-Mujib

The Responsive

Meaning

Al-Mujib is the One who responds to every supplication and answers every call. He is near to those who call upon Him and He fulfills the needs of those who ask. His response may come in the form you requested, in a better form, in protection from harm, or in reward stored for the Hereafter — but a response always comes. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that no Muslim makes a du'a that does not contain sin or cutting of family ties except that Allah gives him one of three things: He grants his request, He diverts an equivalent harm, or He stores it as reward. Al-Mujib never ignores a caller, never rejects a sincere plea.

In the Quran

Surah Hud (11:61): "Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive (Mujib)."

Daily Reflection

Have you ever felt your du'a went unanswered? Perhaps Al-Mujib responded by giving you something better, or by protecting you from something worse. Can you see that now?

Today's Action

Make a heartfelt du'a today for something you have given up on. Renew your hope in Al-Mujib. Ask with certainty that He will respond, even if the response takes a form you do not expect.

Dhikr

يا مجيب (Ya Mujib)

Say it 100 times with your hands raised, knowing He responds to every call.

Dua

اللهم يا مجيب أجب دعاءنا واقض حوائجنا

O Allah, the Responsive, answer our supplications and fulfill our needs.
