المعيد

Al-Mu'id

The Restorer

Meaning

Al-Mu'id is the One who restores creation after its destruction, who repeats what He originated. He will bring back all souls after death for judgment, restore the heavens and earth in a new form, and recreate what was decomposed. This name pairs with Al-Mubdi' — He who originated will also restore. The evidence of this is all around us: spring restores what winter destroyed, dawn restores what night took, and healing restores what illness damaged. If He can bring a dead, barren desert back to life with a single rainfall, can He not restore your broken spirit, your lost hope, your withered faith? Al-Mu'id restores — trust Him to bring back what seems permanently lost.

In the Quran

Surah Ar-Rum (30:27): "And it is He who begins creation; then He repeats it, and that is even easier for Him."

Daily Reflection

What in your life needs restoration? A broken relationship, a lost faith, a forgotten dream? Al-Mu'id can restore anything. Have you asked Him?

Today's Action

Restore something that was lost today. Reconnect with someone you have drifted from, return to a good habit you abandoned, or revive a dream you let die.

Dhikr

يا معيد (Ya Mu'id)

Say it 100 times, asking Allah to restore what has been lost in your life.

Dua

اللهم يا معيد أعد إلينا ما فقدناه من خير وأعد قلوبنا إليك

O Allah, the Restorer, restore to us the good we have lost and return our hearts to You.
