الماجد
Al-Majid
The Noble
Meaning
Al-Majid (with the meaning of Noble Glory) is the One whose nobility, generosity, and glory are intrinsic to His nature. While Al-Majid (day 48) emphasizes glorious magnificence, this form emphasizes the nobility that manifests in generous action. He is noble in that He gives abundantly without being asked, forgives without being begged, and overlooks faults without being petitioned. His nobility means He never turns away a repentant sinner, never rejects a sincere supplication, and never allows a good deed to go unrewarded. The truly noble person is one who reflects this divine quality — giving without conditions, forgiving without demands, and serving without expecting recognition.
In the Quran
Surah Al-Buruj (85:15): "Owner of the Throne, the Glorious (Al-Majid)."
