المغني

Al-Mughni

The Enricher

Meaning

Al-Mughni is the One who enriches His servants and frees them from need. While Al-Ghani is self-sufficient, Al-Mughni actively enriches others. He enriches people with wealth, with contentment, with knowledge, with faith, and with love. The truest richness is not money but contentment (ghina an-nafs) — and only Al-Mughni can grant that. A person with millions can feel poor, while a person with little can feel rich if Al-Mughni has enriched their heart. He enriched the Muhajirin who left everything behind in Mecca by giving them the brotherhood of the Ansar. He enriches whom He wills in ways that cannot be measured by bank accounts.

In the Quran

Surah Ad-Duha (93:8): "And He found you poor and made you self-sufficient (aghna)."

Daily Reflection

Are you truly rich in what matters? Wealth of the heart, richness of faith, contentment of soul? Ask Al-Mughni for the richness that truly matters.

Today's Action

Enrich someone today — not just financially, but with your time, knowledge, or emotional support. Help someone feel less needy, less anxious, less alone.

Dhikr

يا مغني (Ya Mughni)

Say it 100 times, asking Allah to enrich your heart with contentment.

Dua

اللهم يا مغني أغنِ قلبي بالقناعة وارزقني الرضا بما قسمت لي

O Allah, the Enricher, enrich my heart with contentment and grant me satisfaction with what You have apportioned for me.
