الحفيظ

Al-Hafiz

The Preserver

Meaning

Al-Hafiz is the One who preserves and protects all things. He preserves the heavens and earth from collapse, preserves His Book from corruption, preserves the deeds of His servants, and preserves His believers from harm when He wills. The Quran was revealed over 1400 years ago and remains preserved letter by letter — this is the work of Al-Hafiz. He preserves the balance of the universe, the orbit of planets, the cycles of life and death. On a personal level, He preserves your life, your health, and your faith. When Yaqub (peace be upon him) was asked to trust his sons with Binyamin, he said, "Allah is the best guardian (Hafiz), and He is the most merciful of the merciful."

In the Quran

Surah Hud (11:57): "Indeed, my Lord is Guardian (Hafiz) over all things."

Daily Reflection

What are you most afraid of losing? Trust Al-Hafiz to preserve what matters. And remember — what He allows to be taken was never truly yours to keep.

Today's Action

Preserve something important today — memorize a verse of Quran, protect a relationship through a kind word, or safeguard someone's trust by keeping their secret.

Dhikr

يا حفيظ (Ya Hafiz)

Say it 100 times, asking Allah to preserve your faith, family, and wellbeing.

Dua

اللهم يا حفيظ احفظني من بين يدي ومن خلفي ومن فوقي ومن تحتي

O Allah, the Preserver, protect me from before me, behind me, above me, and below me.
