Day 49

الباعث

Al-Ba'ith

The Resurrector

Meaning

Al-Ba'ith is the One who will resurrect all of creation after death for judgment. He is the One who brings the dead back to life, who raises the buried from their graves, and who reassembles every atom of every body that ever existed. This name is the foundation of accountability — without resurrection, life would be meaningless and injustice would go uncorrected. Al-Ba'ith also "raises" in other ways: He raises prophets and messengers, raises awareness in heedless hearts, and raises hope in despairing souls. The evidence of His power to resurrect is everywhere — He brings the dead earth back to life with rain, He brings consciousness back after sleep, He brings spring after winter.

In the Quran

Surah Al-Hajj (22:7): "And that the Hour is coming — no doubt about it — and that Allah will resurrect those in the graves."

Daily Reflection

If you truly believed you would be resurrected and held accountable, how would you live differently? Al-Ba'ith will raise you — are you ready for that meeting?

Today's Action

Revive something that has died in your spiritual life today. Restart a habit of worship you abandoned, reconnect with the Quran, or reinvigorate your du'a practice.

Dhikr

يا باعث (Ya Ba'ith)

Say it 100 times, strengthening your belief in the resurrection and accountability.

Dua

اللهم يا باعث ابعثنا يوم القيامة آمنين مطمئنين

O Allah, the Resurrector, raise us on the Day of Judgment secure and at peace.
