القادر

Al-Qadir

The Able

Meaning

Al-Qadir is the One who has absolute power and ability to do all things. Nothing is difficult for Him, nothing is impossible for Him, and nothing constrains Him. He can do whatever He wills, whenever He wills, however He wills. His power is not limited by physical laws — He created those laws and can override them at will. He parted the sea for Musa, made fire cool for Ibrahim, and raised Isa to the heavens. The distance between wanting and doing for Al-Qadir is simply the word "Be." When you face an impossible situation, remember that "impossible" is a word that does not exist in the vocabulary of Al-Qadir. He can change your situation in the blink of an eye.

In the Quran

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:20): "Indeed, Allah is over all things competent (Qadir)."

Daily Reflection

What "impossible" thing have you stopped praying for? Al-Qadir makes the impossible possible. Renew your du'a for something you had given up on.

Today's Action

Attempt something difficult today with the belief that Al-Qadir empowers you. Take a step toward a goal you thought was beyond your ability.

Dhikr

يا قادر (Ya Qadir)

Say it 100 times, affirming Allah's absolute ability over all things.

Dua

اللهم يا قادر على كل شيء اقدرني على ما تحب وترضى

O Allah, the Able over all things, enable me to do what You love and are pleased with.
